Cards
The cards decide what it is
Instrument Cards go in the Base's two Instrument Slots, a Power Card on its Flex Port, and a console on its Console Port. Every card that measures carries its own calibration record.

Base · Carrier
The Base
Two Instrument Slots, a Flex Port and a Console Port around the MCU that runs Trellis Firmware.
C4 · Instrument Slot
Precision measurement
Thermocouples, RTDs, thermistors, bridges, load cells and four-wire resistance, all live at once on one calibrated card.
B8 · Instrument Slot
Current profiler
Watch a device's current from deep sleep to a radio burst, and tie every burst to the code that caused it.
A7 · Instrument Slot
Field I/O
The field side of a controller — ±10 V and 4–20 mA, relays, counters, RS-485 and an E-stop loop.
In design
- E1 · Flex Port AC phase control Four triac channels on 120 or 230 V mains, behind a line relay that opens on any stop.
B4 · Instrument Slot B
Lock-in amplifier
A lock-in amplifier that drives its own experiment and pulls the answer out from under the noise.
B5 · Instrument Slot A
Dynamic signal analyzer
Two 24-bit channels and sources of its own: a spectrum analyzer and an audio-band network analyzer in one card.
FP1 · Console Port
Front panel
A face for the Base — a four-line display, a knob, two keys, two lamps and a beeper.
AP1 · Console Port
App-processor console
Make a small Linux computer the instrument's front panel, powered by the Base and wired to its stop.
